About The Program
Energy Skills Queensland delivers the Women in Electricity Program designed for all Female Apprentices in the Electrical Trade.The program is funded by the Queensland Government and is designed to empower aspiring female electricians by enhancing their skills and capabilities to thrive in their careers in an exciting and growing industry.Employers can elevate the workplace by uplifting their understanding of working with tradeswomen.The program will run over 12 months with weekly support in overcoming challenges faced by apprentices and employers.
Female Apprentice -
- One on one guidance and mentoring through calls and workplace visits.
- Engagement with our unique digital platform designed to lift your skills through weekly “pulses”
- Networking opportunities to hear from other female apprentice electricians.
- Personal and Professional Development of leadership and resilience capabilities
- Access to a wealth of resources and information through a female apprentice career toolkit
Eligibility: - One on one guidance and mentoring through calls and workplace visits.

- Must be a female apprentice.
- Must be in an electrical trade.
- Must work in Queensland.
The program is only available to 60 women across Queensland. To secure your place in the Women in Electricity Program. - Must be a female apprentice.
