About this course
This module examines the challenges that female apprentices may face in male-dominated trades.It provides an understanding of these issues, their impacts at different levels, and introduces strategies to build confidence, improve communication, and strengthen professional presence in the workplace.Learning OutcomesAfter completion of this module, you should be able to understand:
- the common challenges female apprentices face in male-dominated trades and why they occur
- the personal, workplace, and industry-level impacts of these challenges
- how to apply strategies that build confidence, assertiveness, and resilience in the workplace
- how to use effective communication techniques to set boundaries and address poor behaviour or harassment
- practical ways to be seen, respected, and valued as a tradesperson.
